There is a magnificent, beautiful, wonderful painting in front of you! It is intricate, detailed, a painstaking labor of devotion and love! The colors are like no other, they swim and leap, they trickle and embellish! And yet you choose to fixate your eyes on the small fly which has landed on it! Why do you do such a thing?

Inky’s take: I love a good conversation. Communication is a major pleasure for me, but sometimes I really get frustrated by those who can’t see beyond the ‘small fly’. It doesn’t matter how much thinking, explanation, discussion, investigation goes into it. If the viewer isn’t receptive you might as well dock the boat.
In life I’ve learned to pick and choose my battles. Should have known this one was a no winner from the boat yard. But, because it had so much potential, I still fought the fight.
Today, I dry docked the boat, fly and all… conversation over.
